This Guild Banner quilt was designed by one of our founding members - Jean Raines
and made by the ladies of the quilt guild
The banner and our logo show the simplicity of where our guild came from. It tells a story of the Airdrie and District Quilt Guild.
The mountains to the west, the foothills, the fields that surround Airdrie and the iconic water tower. ~ Audrey C.
When I came to Airdrie in the 70’s the water tower was the only landmark that had any significance.
There were 3300 people, 3 schools, 1 small convenience/grocery store and the Shell station with a truck stop restaurant. ~Terrie C.
